From The Minds of Little Boys

As I was on my cleaning spree this past weekend I happened upon Ryan's backpack for school. You might have noticed a red and black backpack in some of our Disney photos. We had the kids each use their school backpacks as carry on bags for the trip and Bill decided it would be a good idea to use Ryan's for our daily outings. I can't let this go by without saying this was Bill's idea but I will give you one guess who ended up carrying it the majority of the time.

Anyway when I picked up his backpack I was rather upset because I noticed that it had been written on the outside with what appeared to be permanent marker. My first thought was, "These darn kids just don't take care of anything, what do they think money grows on trees and they can just scribble on their backpacks and I will buy another???" However upon closer inspection what I read brought a chuckle from me and a tear to my eye. I think only a child would think this. Here is what Ryan had written on his backpack:

"Ryan Lambert. This has been to Minnesota, Florida, and some city called Atlanta."

Funny how we spent all this money on our trip but it is something so seemingly inconsequential that is important to Ryan. Here is a picture of his backpack.
