I DID IT!!!!!!!

I officially completed my first race this morning at approximately 8:22. I can't even begin to describe the high I felt this morning when I crossed my very first finish line. My IT Band wasn't the most cooperative and the minute I stopped running it HURT. I am sitting here having stretched on my foam roller, with a few Advil in my stomach and an ice pack on my leg. But despite the pain I am ready to do it again. Heck I might even be willing to take on a 10k next! Bill says he knows I have it in me to do a full marathon but he tends to believe in me more than I believe in myself most of the time (thanks honey!!). :-)

Here is a photo Bill snapped with his phone about 2 minutes before I crossed the finish line (I was just coming back into the stadium). It is pretty fuzzy because it is from his phone. I am in the bright pink shirt and black bottoms. I will post some other photos when I dump the camera.
